A woman in her 40s was airlifted to University Hospital Galway after suffering a fall and lower leg injury in sand dunes near Fanore, North Clare. Emergency services, including the Doolin unit of the Coast Guard and National Ambulance paramedics, responded to the incident, with the Shannon-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 115 providing assistance. The woman was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to the hospital for further treatment.
