Police in Katsina State, Nigeria, foiled two kidnapping attempts, rescuing seven victims. In the first incident, police and community watch members stopped bandits who kidnapped three villagers, stole 23 goats and robbed foodstuffs. In the second, a rescue team found four kidnap victims in an abandoned vehicle after a gunfight. The Commissioner of Police praised operatives and urged them to maintain vigilance, while calling for timely information on criminal activities.
