Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced the 'Viksit Meghalaya' mission on Aug 15, aiming to grow the state's economy to a $100bn market by 2047 for India's 100th independence anniversary. He also reported progress in resolving border issues, law and order, and healthcare. The Mission 10 target sets out to make Meghalaya a top 10 Indian state within the next decade, with 10 critical guarantees for citizens.
