On Independence Day, Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain hosted a special Bhasma Aarti, a ritual involving the offering of ashes during the Brahma Muhurta. A holy bath was given to Lord Mahakal with Panchamrit, and the deity was decorated in tricolor. The event coincided with PM Narendra Modi hoisting the flag at the Red Fort for the 11th consecutive year.
