Irish food and live animal exports dropped 8% in June 2024 to €1.3bn, with meat and meat preparation exports down 6.5% to €409m and dairy products/eggs exports at €396m (from €435m in June 2023). However, Ireland's exports increased 6% in H1 2024 to €107bn, driven by pharmaceuticals and medical products; US exports surged 23% to €6.2bn. Good imports fell 8% to €53.5bn, with changes in the pharmaceutical sector contributing.
