The Health Service Executive (HSE) has set up drug safety tents at Ireland's Electric Picnic music festival to provide harm reduction support for attendees who consume drugs. Operating from 11am to 9pm on Friday through Sunday, the tents offer 30 hours of on-site support from trained volunteers, while two surrender bins are located at on-site medical spaces for festival-goers to deposit drugs for analysis. The HSE's Safer Nightlife Programme aims to reduce risks associated with drug use and deal with it as a public health issue.
