Georgia receives final approval for state-run health insurance marketplace, Georgia Access, to launch on November 1st.

Georgia has received final approval from CMS to transition its ACA health insurance marketplace to a state-run exchange called Georgia Access, set to launch on November 1st. The move aims to increase access to affordable, quality health coverage and reduce the number of uninsured Georgians. Georgia Access will partner with private sector companies for consumer enrollment and manage the state's health insurance coverage market. User fees previously collected by the federal government will now be collected by Georgia Access.
