3 daycare workers in Georgia pleaded guilty to abuse charges, accused of mistreating children aged 6 months to 3 years.

3 daycare workers in Georgia have pleaded guilty to child abuse charges in connection with a 2022 investigation where they were accused of hitting, pushing, and shaking children aged six months to three years. Alexis Renee Swain (28) pleaded guilty to 29 counts of first-degree cruelty to children, Cori Chambers (21) to five counts, and Cassandra Artis Chambers (56) to one count of failure to report suspected child abuse. The daycare center has since closed, and all three defendants are barred from caring for children in commercial or at-home settings, except their own family members. A fourth defendant, Cheretta Hull, awaits trial.
