4 Arkansas non-profits receive $10,000 grants each to combat food insecurity and eliminate food deserts in their communities. The city of Pine Bluff, UA Division of Agriculture, Innovative Community Concepts, and McElroy House were chosen by the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. All 75 Arkansas counties have food deserts, and food insecurity has increased since the pandemic, affecting nearly 19% of the state's population.
