AD Ports Group, a UAE-based logistics provider, has acquired a 60% majority stake in Georgia's Tbilisi Dry Port, bolstering its influence in the Middle Corridor - a crucial route connecting Asia and Europe. The Tbilisi Dry Port, set to commence operations in Oct 2024, is an intermodal logistics hub with an initial handling capacity of 96,500 TEUs and 10,000 sqm of warehouse space. The Middle Corridor offers a shorter, more efficient route between Asia and Europe compared to traditional alternatives.
