27-year-old Ottawa resident Muhammad Khattak has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 34-year-old Varney Marshall in Orléans. Khattak will appear in court on Wednesday, following Marshall's death on Mockingbird Drive on August 7th, which was initially considered suspicious but later classified as a homicide. This brings Ottawa's 2024 homicide count to 16.
