30-year-old convicted murderer Ramone Alston, who killed a 1-year-old girl in 2015, has escaped from a North Carolina hospital where he was receiving medical care. Alston, who is serving a life sentence, escaped from North Carolina Department of Corrections custody at UNC Hospital in Hillsborough. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, brown pants, white New Balance sneakers, and handcuffs connected to a belly chain. Authorities are seeking the public's help, urging them to call 911 if they spot Alston and warning them not to approach him.
