37-year-old James Kempster is facing charges of possessing live/dead Schedule 1 wild birds or their parts, possessing live/dead non-Schedule 1 wild birds or parts, and criminal damage after 50 dead hares, a kestrel, and a barn owl were found dumped outside Broughton Community Shop on March 15. Kempster, from Totton, is set to appear in Southampton Magistrates Court on September 10. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary's Country Watch Team and the Criminal Investigation Department have been investigating the incident.
