The festival, which started in 1990, has faced increasing challenges, including escalating costs of live music events, rising insurance premiums, and the cost-of-living crisis. Festival Director Peter Noble, who has been leading Bluesfest since 1994, said it was time to "close this chapter" and urged fans to attend and be part of its legacy. The 2025 lineup will feature many of the festival's greatest artists.
