Supreme Court judge nominee Prof. Richard Frimpong Oppong denies supporting LGBTQI+ activities and dismisses concerns that his research could make him a danger to anti-LGBTQI activities. Speaking at the Vetting Committee of Parliament, Oppong emphasized his duty as a judge would be to apply the laws of Ghana, rather than impose his personal views. He also clarified that if appointed, he does not believe same-sex marriage should be legalized.
