Walkem, a Cook's Ferry Indian Band member, is seeking temporary grazing land for his 150 cows after the Shetland Creek wildfire destroyed his summer and fall pastures in Spences Bridge, BC. The 28,081-hectare wildfire has caused significant damage and has lost Walkem 12 cows due to the fire and stress. He is looking for a fenced space with water within a couple of hours' travel and has reached out to the public via Facebook for assistance.
