Penticton RCMP used a less lethal round on a man who called 911 to report a stabbing at Skaha Beach, but no victims or assailants were found. After another call stating the suspect was in a public washroom, police found the man with a covered face, refusing to follow orders. The Independent Investigations Office of BC is examining the incident to determine if the use of force was necessary. The police believe there was no actual stabbing incident.
