2020 Ondo State Assembly Deputy Speaker removal ruled unconstitutional, Ogundeji reinstated and awarded N10m damages.
The Ondo Division of the Court of Appeal reinstated Hon. Iroju Ogundeji as the Deputy Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, overturning his removal in 2020. The court found his removal unconstitutional, ordered his reinstatement, and required the payment of outstanding entitlements. Additionally, Ogundeji was awarded N10 million in damages and the court dismissed appeals filed by the Assembly.
