North Dakota appoints Nathan Anderson, a 25-year industry veteran, as new DMR director.

North Dakota's Industrial Commission has appointed Nathan Anderson, a 25-year industry veteran, as the new director of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR). Anderson, a North Dakota State University graduate, will oversee oil and gas development activities in the state, replacing former director Lynn Helms. Anderson, who most recently worked for Chevron in Colorado, will take on a pay cut when he begins at the department and will be responsible for supervising the Oil and Gas Division assistant director, the state geologist, and DMR staff.
