In Jigawa State, Nigeria, the NSCDC recovered the bodies of two men, Abubakar Alhaji (20) and Abubakar Abdullahi (25), who drowned while crossing a pond in Birninkudu Local Government Area. The NSCDC, along with local community members, rescued the victims after 48 minutes. Their bodies were taken to Waza health facility and handed over to their families for Islamic burial. NSCDC Commandant, Muhammad Danjuma, urged parents to closely monitor their children during the rainy season.
