Indian PM Narendra Modi met with Foxconn Chairman Young Liu to discuss investment plans in India's electronics manufacturing sector. Foxconn plans a $1.54bn investment in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh to expand facilities and tap futuristic sectors like AI and semiconductors. Foxconn, a key Apple partner, already manufactures 70% of iPhones globally and employs over 40,000 people in its Tamil Nadu factory.
