In July 2024, Indian mutual funds increased stakes in Vedanta, HDFC Bank, and ITC, while reducing holdings in TCS, NTPC, and Avenue Supermarts. The largecap segment saw top additions in HDFC Bank, Life Insurance Corporation, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, and Larsen & Toubro. In the midcap space, mutual funds added Sona BLW, Jubilant FoodWorks, Lloyds Metals & Energy, Apar Industries, and SunTV Network. In the smallcap space, mutual funds added Redtape, Arvind Limited, Lloyds Engineering, Power Mech Projects, and Varroc Eng. The top sectors holding for mutual funds in July included Private Banks (16.1%), Technology (8.9%), Automobiles (8.7%), and Capital Goods (7.9%).
