Greece provided €490M for disaster victims between 2021 and 2022, covering natural catastrophes such as floods, earthquakes, fires, and assisting those affected in North America. The Greek government activated a support mechanism for disaster victims, unifying various support programs under one ministry, improving coordination, and strengthening the Government Assistance Committee. The State Aid service granted a total of €303M through the first aid scheme and €490M in combined assistance to businesses, households, and farmers.
