2-vehicle crash on Nanaimo Parkway resulted in SUV driver's death and closed highway for investigation.
A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on Nanaimo Parkway in Nanaimo, BC, on August 10th at around 8:30 pm. A southbound car crossed the median and collided with a northbound SUV, resulting in the death of the SUV driver, while the other driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The highway was closed in both directions for a prolonged period while investigators, including an RCMP collision analyst, examined the scene. The investigation includes reviewing footage of southbound vehicles that were coming from the Nanoose area from 8 to 8:30 pm.
