UK energy supplier Telecom Plus plans to double its customer base to 2 million within the medium term.

Telecom Plus, a UK energy supplier, plans to double its customer base to 2 million within the medium term, according to its Chairman, Charles Wigoder. The company has already surpassed one million customers, with pretax profit increasing 18% to £100.5m in the financial year ending 31 March, from £85.5m the previous year. Gross profit rose 16% to £355.2m despite a 18% revenue drop to £2.04bn due to normalised energy prices. Telecom Plus shares are currently at 1,770.42 pence each, up 0.8% on Tuesday morning in London.
