Researchers at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology developed bendable, full-color Fi-LEDs using perovskite quantum wires for potential wearable lighting and display devices.
Researchers at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology have developed full-color fiber light-emitting diodes (Fi-LEDs) using perovskite quantum wires (PeQWs), potentially leading to wearable lighting and display devices. Porous alumina membrane (PAM) templates were used on thin aluminum fibers to fabricate the Fi-LEDs, which exhibit good bendability and stretchability, making them suitable for textile lighting applications. This breakthrough could pave the way for advanced wearable display technologies.
