Minneapolis Public Housing Authority completes fire sprinkler installation in high-rise buildings following a 2019 fire with six deaths.

Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) has completed installing fire sprinkler systems in all 42 high-rise buildings, following a 2019 fire with no sprinklers that led to six deaths. The $20M project, supported by city, MPHA, and Minnesota congressional delegation, was ongoing since 2019. Sprinkler systems are expected to reduce fire risks and provide a sense of security for residents.
