An Ekiti State High Court sentenced four men, Adeoye Sunday, Adewusi Dare, Bamigboye Damilola, and Ogunlayi Seun, to life imprisonment for kidnapping 75-year-old Madam Florence Popoola in Ikere Ekiti in 2017 and five years each for conspiracy. The fifth defendant, Ojo Tope, was acquitted of all charges. They kidnapped Popoola, held her for four days in a forest, and released her after receiving a N1.5 million ransom.
