Kerala High Court orders publication of Justice Hema Committee report on women's issues in Malayalam film industry within a week.

The Kerala High Court has dismissed a petition by film producer Sajimon Parayil to prevent the release of the Justice Hema Committee report, which investigates the working conditions of women in the Malayalam film industry. The court ordered the report's publication within a week, with limited redactions to protect individual privacy rights. The report was formed in 2017 to study issues of sexual harassment and gender inequality in the industry. Both the Kerala Women's Commission and the Women in Cinema Collective supported the release of the report, stating that it would aid in finding solutions to the problems faced by women in the industry based on the recommendations made by the committee.
