Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signed over 460 bills into law, including one that will allow digital driver's licenses and state IDs from 2025. Other key legislation includes measures to reduce opioid epidemic, tighten funeral home regulations, and change tuition costs for non-citizen Illinois residents. The digital IDs, offered in addition to physical IDs, aim to improve personal information privacy, with residents able to choose the information they wish to reveal when their IDs are scanned.
