40-year-old Abhijit Dey, a school teacher in Tripura's Gomati district, was killed by a mob who accused him of molesting a minor student during a private tutoring session. Dey was arrested after the mob assaulted him and later granted bail, but fell ill and died in the hospital. Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy condemned the incident and assured legal action against those involved. Dey's family accused the police of delaying medical treatment.
