35-year-old Merrill Kelly returns from 60-day injured list, rejoining Arizona Diamondbacks' rotation.
Merrill Kelly, a 35-year-old veteran starter for the Arizona Diamondbacks, has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Kelly, who suffered a teres major strain in mid-April, returns to play against the Phillies and will join the team's full rotation of six healthy starters. To accommodate for Kelly's return, the team designated right-hander Humberto Castellanos for assignment and optioned right-hander Scott McGough to Triple-A Reno.
