UK flooring business The Floor Room enters administration due to reliance on sister company Carpetright, leading to job losses and store closures.
UK flooring business, The Floor Room, has entered administration after its reliance on sister company Carpetright led to financial difficulties. This decision has resulted in the loss of almost 200 jobs across the UK, as well as the closure of its 34 concessions within John Lewis department stores and one London flagship store. The Floor Room, which was heavily reliant on Carpetright for trading infrastructure, was unable to continue operations due to the sister company's administration, which was caused by declining consumer demand. As a result, customers with pending orders or deposits may not receive refunds, and PwC, the appointed administrators, recommend contacting payment card providers for potential refunds.
