Big Boy No. 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, will be on an eight-week "Heartland of America Tour" across 9 states, including Kansas, with an overnight stop in Salina on Oct 17th. The tour will conclude in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Oct 23rd. The locomotive, weighing around 1,200,000 pounds, underwent restoration work before returning to service in 2019.
