Seoul-based Krafton Inc. acquires Tango Gameworks, developer of Hi-Fi Rush, from Microsoft.
Seoul-based publisher Krafton Inc., known for PUBG, acquires Tango Gameworks—developer of Hi-Fi Rush—from Microsoft. The acquisition includes the rights to the Hi-Fi Rush IP, where Krafton aims to continue building games with Microsoft and ZeniMax Media. This move comes after Microsoft announced plans to shut down Tango Gameworks and several other studios earlier in the year. The acquisition does not affect the availability of Tango Gameworks titles on Microsoft's Game Pass, and Krafton plans to work with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition for Tango Gameworks' team.
