Oman launches 5-year Capital Market Incentive Program (CMIP) to develop investment environment, attract local and foreign investments, and upgrade Muscat Stock Exchange.

Oman's Financial Services Authority has launched the Capital Market Incentive Program (CMIP), a 5-year initiative to develop the country's investment and business environment. The program includes three primary components: supporting the transformation of family-owned businesses into public joint stock companies, launching a new sub-market on the Muscat Stock Exchange named "Promising Companies Market", and facilitating the transition of limited liability companies into closed joint stock companies. The aim is to increase non-traditional financing sources for economic projects, attract local and foreign investments, and upgrade the Muscat Stock Exchange. The CMIP aligns with government commitments to develop the private sector business environment and achieve Oman Vision 2040 objectives.
