Renowned horror director James Wan is in talks to direct a remake of Universal's classic monster film, "The Creature from the Black Lagoon". Wan's Atomic Monster production banner is spearheading the project, aiming to create a grounded, modern retelling blending visceral horror with respect for the original classic. This marks Wan's first directorial project since joining forces with Blumhouse in 2022.
