Florida's reported abortions decreased to over 40,000 since a law prohibiting procedures after six weeks took effect in May. State data showed a rise from 32,081 at the beginning of June to 36,221 by the start of July, before falling to 40,499 by August 1st. The six-week abortion law, which came into effect on May 1, has contributed to the decline.
