A fatal car crash involving a fallen tree occurred on Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City.
A fatal crash occurred in Ellicott City, Sunday evening, when a fallen tree hit a westbound car on Baltimore National Pike, near the Baltimore County line. A woman driver died at the scene, while another woman, the driver of a struck vehicle, was injured and taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for a time but later reopened. Victims' identities have not been released.
