China's railway passenger trips reached a record high of 2.52 billion from Jan-July 2024, up 15.7% YoY, with daily trains increasing by 10.6% to an average of 10,434. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway saw a 54.7% increase in cross-boundary trips, and China-Laos Railway handled around 139,000 cross-border trips. The growth is attributed to new rail lines and optimized railway operations.
