63-year-old David Kantrud drowned in Otter Tail Lake on August 10th while not wearing a life jacket.
63-year-old David Kantrud from Fergus Falls, Minnesota tragically drowned on August 10th after falling from a pontoon boat into Otter Tail Lake while attempting to retrieve an item. Despite resuscitation efforts from nearby family members and Otter Tail County Water Patrol, including CPR and AED attempts, Kantrud was pronounced dead at the scene. It was noted that he was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
