400-year-old Barapulla Bridge in Delhi to undergo 3-month restoration by ASI under LG VK Saxena's plan.

400-year-old Barapulla Bridge in Delhi's Nizamuddin area is set to undergo a 3-month restoration under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as per Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's announcement. The bridge, built in 1628 during Emperor Jehangir's reign, has fallen into disrepair and is heavily encroached upon. Restoration efforts aim to preserve the bridge's originality and install proper lighting upon completion. This is the latest in a series of heritage site restorations undertaken since Saxena assumed office.
