3 weeks after evacuation, Jackson House long-term care residents in Ashcroft, BC returned home as wildfire alerts for the region were lifted. The 27,729.8 hectare Shetland Creek wildfire, now mostly contained, led to precautionary evacuations. Residents were temporarily housed in Salmon Arm, and Interior Health thanked staff from Ashcroft Hospital and other facilities for their support during the evacuation.
