Punjab Police arrested international drug smuggler Simranjot Singh Sandhu, linked to a 487kg cocaine case in Germany.

Punjab Police, in cooperation with central agencies, arrested international drug smuggler Simranjot Singh Sandhu, the key figure in a 487kg cocaine smuggling case in Germany. Sandhu was convicted for eight years and six months in Germany for drug-related offenses but fled to Dubai and came to India. The arrest came after local drug smugglers Beant Singh and Sukhdeep Singh were caught in June with 1 kg heroin, leading to Sandhu's involvement. Sandhu used an encrypted app to communicate with the drug network, which was discovered by the German police.
