Nigeria's NDIC notifies Heritage Bank customers of asset liquidation for uninsured payments.

Nigeria's Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) notifies defunct Heritage Bank customers that uninsured payments will be subject to asset liquidation. Insured deposits of N5m each have been paid to 82.36% of customers, while remaining uninsured deposits will be settled upon realization of the defunct bank's assets. NDIC began insured deposit payments within four days of the bank's closure, using BVNs to locate alternate accounts.
