A new climate mapping tool predicts Los Angeles' summer temperatures will increase by 7.7 degrees by 2080 under the current carbon emission scenario, with winters warming 5.6 degrees. San Bernardino summers could be 9 degrees warmer on average. The mapping tool, created by the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, also suggests that cities such as Riverside and Needles would experience 9 degrees and 7 degrees temperature increases in summer and winter respectively.
