A desert tortoise named Stitch was rescued from Arizona's I-10 highway and returned to its ostrich ranch home.
A desert tortoise named Stitch, an escaped sulcata breed, was rescued from Arizona's Interstate 10 by a motorist and state Department of Public Safety Sgt. Steven Sekrecki after being reported trying to cross the busy highway near Picacho. Stitch had escaped from an ostrich ranch 3 miles away and was confirmed to be one of their residents by the ranch. The tortoise was safely returned to the ranch.
