30-year-old Jodie Beer, a former prison officer at HMP Parc in Wales, was sentenced to six years in prison for smuggling drugs and phones into the facility. Police caught Beer with hidden contraband in orange juice cartons when they stopped her outside the prison. She admitted to accepting £5,000 from an inmate to smuggle the items into the jail and pleaded guilty to various drug and misconduct charges.
