U.S. Department of Education criticizes San Diego Unified School District for inadequate Title IX sexual harassment response.

The U.S. Department of Education has criticized San Diego Unified School District for inadequate response to sexual harassment complaints. The Department examined 253 reports and complaints over a three-year period and found that the district failed to fulfill its Title IX regulatory requirement to equitably respond to allegations of sexual harassment. SDUSD agreed to take steps to improve its response, including reviewing past complaints, providing training to students, and training district employees on their obligations to respond to such reports.
