Thailand's Deputy Minister of Commerce, Suchart Chomklin, assessed the popularity of Thai culinary products in India at the BIMSTEC Business Summit 2024, where traditional ingredients like mangosteen, longan, coconut, galangal, and lemongrass gained popularity among Indian consumers. The first half of 2024 saw $8.158 billion in total trade value between Thailand and India, with Thai exports valued at $5.397 billion. The BIMSTEC Business Summit, hosted by India's Ministry of External Affairs and CII, showcased potential opportunities for expansion and collaboration between participating countries.
